Terms of Service

By arranging a service with Jen Cage: Behaviourist, you hereby agree to having read, understood and accepted the following terms:
  1. Behaviour or training services will be booked in advance on a date and at a time that has been mutually agreed upon by Jen Cage and you (as the dog’s owner). You must be over the age of 18 in order to book a service; minors may participate during services if they are accompanied by an adult at all times.
  2. Payment for a service is required in advance to confirm the booking. Payment is to be transferred via bank transfer or PayPal only. Refunds are only offered in the case of Jen Cage being unable to conduct the service. However, if you need to rebook your service, you may arrange an alternative time/date at no extra cost if a reasonable period of notice is given.
  3. If on the day of your book you dog is unwell or showing signs of kennel cough or any other transmissible illness, or if they have come into season, please contact Jen Cage as soon as possible to rearrange your booking.
  4. Your dog remains your own responsibility and must remain under your control at all times. Jen Cage will not accept responsibility for any damages or injury to any person, animal or property while undertaking training or behavioural therapy services. If you believe your dog to be at risk of biting, please take steps to prevent this from occurring (keeping your dog onlead or confined to a crate, use of a muzzle, etc).
  5. No punitive methods or tools will be permitted during any training or behavioural therapy service. This includes physical punishments such as slapping, kicking/kneeing, nipping, scruffing, ‘alpha-rolling’, the use of choke, prong, shock or anti-bark collars, and pet correct sprays. Jen Cage reserves the right to terminate any service if such punitive measures are exhibited.
  6. It is desirable that dogs are fully up to date with routine vaccinations including the intranasal kennel cough vaccine. If your dog is unvaccinated or if their vaccinations have elapsed, please bring this to Jen Cage’s attention when booking your service.
  7. It is Jen Cage’s aim to build a professional relationship of trust and respect in order to help you and your dog. As such, it is asked that you are courteous and respectful throughout the service. Jen Cage has a zero-tolerance policy for aggressive or abusive behaviour and reserves the right to terminate any service if such behaviour is exhibited.

If you have any concerns or complaints, please contact me directly in writing at jencagebehaviour@gmail.com.
